Scuba is equipment-intensive, but unlike a broken shoelace on your softball cleats or a flat on your bicycle,
if your scuba equipment fails, the ramifications can be serious. Proper maintenance, adjustment and understanding
of your gear are the keys to keeping everything in top working order and to protecting your investment.
The PADI Equipment Specialist Course teaches you how all your stuff works. You’ll see how a regulator magically provides a reassuring rush of air whenever your lungs call out for it and you’ll learn how to take care of that regulator to be sure you always get that air. Have you ever had a mask strap or a fin strap give out at 100 feet? You can see why it’s a good idea to know how to take care of these minor inconveniences before they become big problems. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
While the Equipment Specialist Course is designed to give you a foundation in how your gear operates and what you can do to keep it all in top working order. If it’s been a while since you were in the market for new equipment, the course will bring you up to speed on the latest scuba technology.
Understanding your equipment is the first step to a lifetime of reliability.
