Join us for a feel-good evening that gives back to the ocean we love and ends with gooey marshmallow goodness. Eco Dive Center is excited to invite you to our Sunset Shoreline Cleanup & S’mores—an open-invite community event where we’ll clean up the beach and celebrate with a sunset bonfire and s’mores hangout.
Whether you're a diver, surfer, sand-stroller, or s’mores-lover, you're invited to make a difference with us!
Why Beach Cleanups Matter
Every year, millions of tons of plastic and trash end up in our oceans. From harming marine life to polluting the waters we dive in, it’s a serious problem—but beach cleanups are one of the most direct and rewarding ways we can protect the environment we all enjoy.
By removing litter before it reaches the ocean, we protect fish, birds, and marine ecosystems. Plus, it's a great excuse to enjoy some fresh air, connect with fellow ocean-lovers, and feel good about giving back. It’s a small action with a big ripple effect.
Our Commitment: We've Adopted Dockweiler!
We’re proud to share that Eco Dive Center has officially adopted Dockweiler Beach through the Heal the Bay Adopt-a-Beach program! That means we’ve committed to cleaning and caring for this stretch of coastline on a regular basis—and we’re inviting you to be part of it.
Dockweiler is practically our backyard, and we’re stoked to help keep it clean for everyone who swims, dives, surfs, or chills here.
About Heal the Bay
Heal the Bay is a nonprofit organization that’s been defending Southern California’s coastal waters and watersheds since 1985. They’re the folks behind water quality report cards, marine education programs, and countless cleanups all across LA’s coastline.
Their Adopt-a-Beach program empowers local groups (like us!) to take ownership of the beaches we love. Thanks to their work, hundreds of miles of coastline are cleaner, safer, and better protected.

What to Bring
-
Reusable water bottle
-
Gloves and buckets if you’ve got them (we’ll have extras too)
-
A headlamp or flashlight—it’ll get dark as we roast
-
Beach blankets or chairs if you want to hang out post-cleanup
-
Your best appetite for toasted marshmallows ?
Give Back, Then Kick Back
We’ll start with about an hour of beach cleanup—picking up plastic, wrappers, cigarette butts, and other debris—then unwind around a fire pit with music, free s’mores, and sunset views. Don't forget to BYOB! It’s a great way to connect with fellow ocean lovers, do something meaningful, and have a blast while doing it.
Call Us at (310)-398-5759 to RSVP! (so we can get a headcount for the s'mores!)
So mark your calendar, rally your crew, and let’s clean up Dockweiler together one wrapper (and marshmallow) at a time.
See you on the sand!
