Coastal Cleanup Day is the state's largest annual volunteer event! It's a chance for everyone in our state, no matter where they live, to help clean up trash from our beaches and waterways before it ends up in the ocean. This event also gives you the rare opportunity to dive the Santa Monica Pier! Not only are you picking up trash and saving the ocean, you are finding "treasures." In the past people have found gopros, money, suitcases, and even a wedding dress! In previous years we have collected over 100lbs of trash each time.  Make sure you bring a bag to collect your finds, gloves, and a cutting tool (there is a lot of fishing line down there.) Have fun!
