Fall is known as “Peak Season” for diving. Here in California, the water is at its warmest in September, October, and November. This brings tons of life and pristine diving conditions. It is not unheard of to get 50-100 feet of visibility and water in the 70s! This is also a great opportunity to see the juvenile garibaldi and the giant black seabass. The kelp is out in full force creating true “forests” underwater. This is a great time to get some dives in or take a course. Get on a boat or go off the beach you will not regret it.
