The Mares Genius scuba dive computer caters to the needs of technical divers who utilize Trimix and Nitrox mixtures with multiple changes, allowing for optimization of decompression and bottom times based on gas supply. Its capability to adjust decompression based on the gases used provides significant safety benefits.
The color display is highly visible in all conditions, and the intuitive interface menu with large buttons makes it easy to use. The Mares Genius is an ideal choice for technical divers looking to enhance their diving experience.
The Genius Scuba Dive Computer is a versatile tool that enables divers to manage Trimix and Nitrox dives with gas changes. With the capacity to receive data from five high-pressure probes, it allows for integrated gas supply management, optimizing bottom and decompression times based on remaining gas. The computer utilizes the advanced ZH-L16C Decompression Algorithm with 16 fabrics and differentiated ascent speeds based on altitude. Additionally, the Gradient Factor can be modified to customize the decompression curve, and parameters like deep stops can be selected or omitted to limit micro bubble formation.
The Mares Genius features a color display made of scratch-resistant tempered mineral glass with easy-to-reach buttons suitable for use with waterproof gloves. The 2.7-inch diagonal backlit display is protected by scratch-resistant mineral glass and features three horizontal data display zones with a choice of two bands to show foreground data. The resolution is QVGA 320 x 240 with 256,000 colors and brightness of 420 cd/m2.
The computer has two selectable modes: Diving and Gauge-Bottom Timer, making it a useful backup tool in all situations. In Dive Mode, the Mares Genius supports Trimix and Nitrox diving with oxygen levels ranging from 6% to 99%, and it displays all the necessary dive data, including current, average, and maximum depth, time in minutes and seconds, temperature, and decompression calculations. Up to five different gas mixtures can be managed during a dive for optimized decompression and bottom times.
The Mares Genius is equipped with predictive gas change mode, signaling the need for a gas change as the switch altitude approaches. With optional high-pressure probes, users can enter the volume of individual cylinders and monitor actual gas consumption in liters, optimizing gas supply, bottom and decompression times. Once the breathing mixture is selected, the display shows both the partial pressure of O2 and the Maximum Operating Depth (MOD). A compass function is also available, providing magnetic North indication.
For diving at altitude up to 3,700m, the Mares Genius dive computer allows users to set the altitude and automatically calculate decompression. Audible and visual alarms can be customized according to user preferences. In Depth Meter-Bottom Timer Mode, the computer provides pressure data and additional features like a compass, average depth, and stopwatch that can be reset.
The Planner Mode allows users to simulate the decompression of multiple dives and set surface intervals between them. The Mares Genius comes with a Bluetooth connection that communicates directly with the Mares App, or the MySSI App to download logbook data and firmware updates on your smart devices (The Bluetooth connection cannot be used with PC/MAC to transfer data).
The Genius comes with a dedicated clip and USB cable that allows you to download logbook data, and receive firmware updates. Through the use of the Mares Dive Organizer Program (PC) and the dedicated Genius clip and cable, data can be transferred between the Genius and the Dive Organizer Program.

With the Led Tank Module, you can effortlessly transmit tank pressure readings directly to your Mares scuba dive computer. This innovative module employs a color-coded system that provides an instant estimate of the gas level within the tank
The LED Tank Module revolutionizes your diving experience by enabling direct transmission of tank pressure to your Mares dive computer. With its color-coded system, you can effortlessly estimate the gas level in your cylinder at a glance.
Attaching the module to the first stage high-pressure outlet (7/16") is quick and straightforward. Once connected to your dive computer, it functions as a pressure gauge, even on the surface. The LED probe features flashing lights in three distinct colors: green indicates pressure over 180 bar, yellow signifies 100 bar, and red indicates levels below 50 bar.
By utilizing the LED Tank Module, your dive computer calculates real-time gas consumption in liters, optimizing bottom time based on the availability of decompression gas. To conserve battery life, the flashing function deactivates if there is no pressure change greater than 1 bar for more than 4 minutes.
The module utilizes a user-replaceable CR123A battery, offering a generous lifespan of approximately 150 to 200 dives, accounting for operating temperatures.
Compatible with the Genius, Quad Air, Smart Air, and Icon HD Net Ready computers
The main features of the LED Tank Module are:
• Transmission of tank information to the dive computer
• Color-coded LED for convenient tank checks on the surface
• Color-coded LED alerts for low air situations during the dive, aiding communication with your buddy
