Our Open Water Diver referral course lets you complete the entire pool and all required academics sessions locally, then finish the four ocean dives on your trip.
You can get through 2/3's of your open water certification course in one day with us and then earn the last 1/3 of your dive certification while on vacation.
You'll learn the basics in the pool, then complete the final leg of your certification process on your vacation adventure.

Please keep in mind that this is a performance based course and typically the single day is adequate to complete the skills but on occasions individuals require additional training sessions to master the required skills. Private instruction is also available upon request.
We support both PADI and SDI online learning platforms and Referral Documents, ensuring flexibility based on your needs. While both are internationally recognized, SDI offers a more streamlined and straightforward approach, saving you time and money. Before your trip, it’s always a good idea to confirm with your resort about compatibility, though most paperwork transitions seamlessly across agencies. Prerequisites:
- Water safe swimming skills
- Basic snorkeling experience recommended
- 12yrs and older
- 10 and 11 yrs old requires an additional trainer which costs an additional $75 ( call to register 10 and 11 year olds 310-398-5759)
Please pick up your gear a couple days before your scheduled course, study well, be well rested and mentally prepared for a fast-paced group course of 2-8 fellow students.
This Course is designed for you to complete the ocean section of this course while on vacation. You will be provided with your training documents to provide to your dive shop at your travel destination. They will then conduct the ocean component of this course. You will want to stay with whichever agency you start with. There are PADI, SDI and SSI dive centers all over the world. "Know before you go" we are happy to discuss this process with you further. All Eco Dive Center Staff are also dive training professionals and can advise you as to your training options while on vacation.
If you don't have any basic swim skills, consider swim & snorkeling lessons beforehand.
If you have any apprehensions, private scuba lessons is also a good option. Call for private lessons 1-310-398-5759.
How to Get Started? Purchase the course, then we'll call you to verify your account and issue you your learning code, come to Eco Dive Center to pick-up your study tools and further instructions.
