Prerequisites:
- Advanced Open Water Diver (AOW) Certification (or equivalent).
Course Objectives:
- Introduction to Deep Diving: The course will familiarize you with the essential skills, knowledge, planning, and techniques necessary for safely diving at depths ranging from 100 to 130 feet (30-40 meters).
- Diving Procedures and Hazards: Learn to manage the unique challenges and hazards of deep diving, such as nitrogen narcosis, increased gas consumption, and pressure-related changes.
- Planning and Organization: You'll learn how to plan and execute deep dives safely, including understanding the risks, developing dive tables, managing time and air consumption, and emergency procedures.
- Technical Diving Foundations: While primarily a recreational course, the Deep Diver certification serves as an important stepping stone for divers interested in advancing to technical diving courses in the future.
Course Requirements:
- PADI Deep Diver Course: Includes 4 dives with a certified instructor. PADI requires 4 open water dives to complete the certification.
- SDI Deep Diver Course: Includes 2 dives with a certified instructor. SDI’s course structure involves fewer dives while still meeting all key requirements for deep diving.
