This ticket includes three dives at Eureka, Ellen, or Ellie Oil Rigs off the coast of Long Beach.
Good meals, tank air-fills, bunk for resting, two private shower rooms and a great crew.
Oil Platform is advanced diving and requires an advanced diver certification and great buoyancy control. So, no. this is not for the fresh rookie diver or in-active diver.
Oil rigs are in much deeper water so your chances of seeing large ocean animals is high.
The oil rig legs also form an artificial reef, making for an enjoyable obstacle course type of dive.
You'll be leaping off a moving boat for this one, which is a fun way to pretend you're an action hero.
- Must be Advanced certified with at least 25 logged dives (PacStar crew requires proof).
- Excellent buoyancy control as this dive is essentially "bottomless" with depths ranging from 260ft to 700ft.
- Amazing abundance of wildlife as the structure serves as an artificial reef with an abundance of fish, marine mammals and invertebrates covering every inch of metal.
- This sites boats as one of Californias Best.
