At Eco Dive Center, our goal is to provide a safe, enjoyable, and professional experience for every diver, student, traveler, and guest. The following policies help us maintain high standards of safety, customer service, and operational efficiency while ensuring clear expectations for everyone participating in our programs. Please review the information below regarding training courses, equipment rentals, boat trips, travel programs, cancellations, medical requirements, and other important participation guidelines.
Student Equipment Rental Policy
To help ensure our students have access to properly fitted equipment, Eco Dive Center prioritizes rental gear availability for students currently enrolled in scuba training programs.
- Early Pickup: Students are encouraged to pick up their rental equipment up to 5 days before the start of their course at no additional rental charge. Early pickup allows time for proper fitting, familiarization with the equipment, and helps streamline the first day of training.
- Standard Return: Rental equipment is due back to Eco Dive Center by the end of the business day following your final scheduled training day.
- Consecutive Weekend Courses: Students participating in training on consecutive weekends may keep their rental equipment between training sessions at no additional charge. This helps reduce time spent on resizing gear and transportation logistics between training days.
- Extended Breaks Between Training Sessions: If more than 7 days will pass before your next scheduled training session, rental equipment must be returned to Eco Dive Center no later than the end of the business day following your most recent training day.
- Additional Rental Periods: Students who wish to retain equipment beyond the standard training period may do so subject to equipment availability and applicable rental fees.
- Equipment Care: Students are responsible for the proper care and security of all rented equipment while it is in their possession. Lost, stolen, or damaged equipment may be subject to repair or replacement charges. Eco Dive Center has since buckets and racks in the back of the shop for your convenience as part of your rental return process, please plan to rinse all rented gear except tanks and weights.
Our goal is to make your training experience as convenient and efficient as possible while ensuring rental equipment remains available for all students enrolled in upcoming courses.
Certified Diver Equipment Rental Policy
To ensure equipment availability and proper preparation for your dive, all rental equipment must be picked up directly from Eco Dive Center prior to your scheduled dive day. Rental equipment is not available for pickup at local dive boats, beach dive sites, or training locations.

Equipment Pickup: Rental equipment should be picked up from Eco Dive Center the day before your scheduled dive.

Single-Day Rental Period: Our standard single-day rental rate covers the actual day of diving only. Divers are welcome to pick up their equipment the day before their dive and return it by closing time on the day after their dive without incurring additional rental charges.
Example: Pick up gear on Friday, dive on Saturday, and return the equipment on Sunday by closing time — all for a single-day rental fee.

Equipment Return: Rental equipment is due back by closing time on the day following your dive.

Equipment Return & Rinsing: Upon returning your rental equipment, please first check in with an Eco Dive Center team member. A staff member will inventory and verify the returned equipment before accompanying you to the rinse area. Divers are asked to rinse their equipment with fresh water and properly hang it in the designated drying area. We greatly appreciate your assistance in helping care for our rental equipment and keeping it in excellent condition for future divers.

Late Returns: Equipment not returned by the agreed-upon return date will automatically be assessed an additional rental charge equal to the daily rental rate for each day overdue until the equipment is returned and checked in by Eco Dive Center. We like to give a cutousy call as a reminder prior to initating late charges.

Extended Rental Requests: Divers wishing to keep rental equipment for multiple days, travel, or dive trips should contact the shop in advance. Extended rentals are subject to equipment availability and applicable rental fees.

Availability: Rental equipment is available on a first-come, first-served basis. There are no reservations available to reserve gear.

Course Policies & Important Information
Please review the following policies before registering for any Eco Dive Center training program:
$100 non-refundable
- All training programs include a non-refundable $100 administrative and course processing fee. This fee covers enrollment, scheduling, course administration, and other expenses incurred at the time of registration.
eLearning is code price is non-refundable
- eLearning registration fees are non-refundable once customer registers through PADI, SDI, or any other training agency. Upon registration, the digital training materials are immediately assigned to the student and cannot be returned or credited. However, the eLearning remains the property of the student and may typically be transferred to another dive center affiliated with the same training agency within one year of registration, subject to the policies of that agency.
7-Day Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy
- All training days, pool sessions, ocean dives, private instruction sessions, and boat trips are subject to a 7-day cancellation and rescheduling policy. Changes requested within 7 days of a scheduled activity may result in forfeited fees, as instructor, pool, vessel, and staffing arrangements have already been secured on your behalf.
Medical Form Required
- All students must complete the Recreational Diving Medical Questionnaire prior to training. If you answer "Yes" to any question requiring physician approval, written medical clearance must be obtained before participating in any pool, confined water, or open water activities.

Certified Dive Buddy with an enrolled student Rules
- Certified divers accompanying a student on a training boat trip are welcome to join the vessel as paying divers; however, they must dive as part of a separate buddy team and may not participate in or accompany the instructor-led training group. This policy allows our instructional staff to maintain proper supervision ratios and provide students with the safest and most effective learning environment possible.
Schedules
- Course schedules, training locations, instructors, and vessel assignments are subject to change due to weather, ocean conditions, facility availability, minimum participation requirements, or other operational considerations.
- Students are responsible for arriving on time, completing all required eLearning, paperwork, and obtaining any required medical clearance before the start of training and picking up all needed dive equipment.

Boat Trip Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
Due to the limited capacity of charter vessels and the advance commitments required to reserve your space, all boat trip reservations are subject to a 7-day cancellation and rescheduling policy.

Cancellations or rescheduling requests made more than 7 days prior to departure may be transferred to another available Eco Dive Center boat trip without penalty.

Cancellations, no-shows, or rescheduling requests made within 7 days of departure are generally not eligible for refunds or credits, as Eco Dive Center has already committed to the charter operator, staffing, and logistical arrangements on your behalf.

If your space can be filled by another diver, Eco Dive Center may, at its sole discretion, offer a store credit or transfer; however, replacement of your reservation is not guaranteed.

Divers who arrive late, miss the boat departure, fail to meet certification requirements, fail to provide required medical clearance, or are unable to dive due to incomplete paperwork or training prerequisites will be considered a cancellation and are not eligible for a refund.

Charter operators reserve the right to modify dive sites, schedules, departure times, or vessel assignments due to weather, ocean conditions, mechanical issues, or other operational considerations.

If a boat trip is canceled by the charter operator due to weather, unsafe ocean conditions, mechanical issues, or circumstances beyond the diver's control, participants will typically be offered the option to reschedule or receive any refund or credit provided by the charter operator.
We strongly encourage divers to carefully review their schedules before booking and to notify Eco Dive Center as soon as possible if a change is needed. This policy allows us to maintain fair pricing, secure charter reservations, and continue providing high-quality diving experiences for all participants.
