Become ready to assist in emergencies with the EFR certification in your resume. First aid and CPR are definitely the important skills for 911situations – just in case. And, you must have this knowledge and skills for the PADI Rescue Diver certification course.
EFR teaches the life saving skills that are applicable to any situation, not just divers. The fun part about EFR training is learning serious medical emergency response skills in a positive, team environment. You gain the confidence that you are prepared to help in an emergency. You'll learn CPR, first aid, AED and oxygen deployment.
The EFR course is offered at least once per month. It always falls on the Tuesday preceding the Rescue course schedule. Usually the 3rd Tuesday of the month. Remember that this is a 24 month certification so re-certification is required to stay active with the rating.
Once enrolled, come by the school to pick-up the manual and begin studying. Arrive at the shop on the scheduled date at 7pm.
There are no prerequisites for this course, non-divers are welcome as well as divers.
