Take your diving to the next level with Eco Dive Center’s Wreck Diver Specialty—a focused, one-day training experience designed to introduce you to the skills, planning, and techniques needed to safely explore shipwrecks.
From navigation and hazard awareness to proper finning techniques and limited penetration concepts, this course will give you the confidence to explore wrecks responsibly and safely.
Ocean Training Day (Sunday, June 27)
- Boat diving with Marissa Charters
- Explore real wreck sites off the coast of San Diego
- Apply navigation, awareness, and wreck diving techniques in open water
- Guided training dives with Eco Dive Center instructors
- Multiple dives to build comfort and experience on actual wrecks
Certification
- Earn your Wreck Diver Specialty Certification
- Choose your agency: SDI or PADI
- Training conducted by certified Eco Dive Center instructors
What You’ll Learn
Wreck Diving Skills
- Wreck navigation and orientation
- Identifying hazards and avoiding entanglement
- Proper use of lines and reels
- Buoyancy and trim for fragile environments
- Entry and exit techniques around wreck structures
Safety & Planning
- Assessing wreck conditions and structure
- Understanding overhead environment risks

Gear Requirements
Included with the Course
- Full rental gear package (BCD, regulator, wetsuit, tanks, weights, etc.)
- Tanks and air fills
Required Personal Gear (Not Included)
- Mask
- Snorkel
- Fins (with boots)
- Reel (primary line reel)
- Primary dive light
- Backup dive light (required)
These personal items are required for safety, comfort, and proper wreck diving training.
